“We’ve had a good experience running the Kernels Popcorn Program as a school fundraiser. With a student population of about 300, we typically have around 80 students opt in for a weekly bag of Buttersalt popcorn over a 12-week session. It’s a simple program that consistently brings in a few hundred dollars each session, and most importantly, the students really enjoy it.
The process has been smooth and well-supported. Orders are prepared accurately and ready on time. My Grade 4–5 class takes responsibility for sorting and delivering the popcorn each week, which has been a fantastic leadership opportunity for building teamwork and responsibility. Overall, this has been a reliable, enjoyable, and a well-organized fundraiser that we were happy to bring back for a second year.
