Kernels Popcorn SUPERMAN Contest Rules and Regulations
The Kernels Popcorn SUPERMAN Contest (the “Contest”) is sponsored by Kernels Popcorn Limited (the “Sponsor”). The Contest begins on, July 1, 2025 at 12:01am Eastern Standard Time (the “Contest Opening Date”), and ends on July 18th, 2025 at 11:59pm Eastern Standard Time (the “Contest Closing Date”).
1. ELIGIBILITY
The Contest is open to all residents of Canada (excluding Quebec) who have reached the age of majority in their province or territory of residence by the Contest Opening Date, except for employees, agents, mandataries and representatives of the Sponsor, its subsidiaries, affiliates, affiliated companies, advertising or promotion agencies, the suppliers of material, prizes and services related to this Contest, Warner Bros. Entertainment Canada Inc. and any other stakeholder directly related to the holding of the Contest, as well as the members of their immediate family (father, mother, brothers, sisters, children and legal or de facto spouse) and anyone with whom these employees, representatives and agents reside.
2. HOW TO ENTER
No purchase necessary. Void where prohibited.
To enter the Contest, the contestant (the “Contestant”) must submit the Contest form on kernelspopcorn.com before the Contest Closing Date, to be automatically entered for a chance to win 1 of 5 Superman-themed Prizes.
A Contestant can only be eligible to win one prize.
The Prizes (defined below) draw shall be held on July 24th, 2025, at 1:00 pm, Eastern Standard Time.
3. Prizes
Each prize winner will be randomly drawn from all eligible entries.
Four (4) secondary prizes shall be awarded. The approximate retail value ("ARV") for each secondary prize is $97.00 CAD and includes:
- 4 x Run of Engagement Passes to see SUPERMAN in theatres. Total value is approximately $72.00 CAD.
- 1 x Kernels Virtual Gift Card ($25.00)
One (1) grand prize shall be awarded. The ARV for the grand prize is approximately $322.00 CAD and includes:
- 4 x Run of Engagement Passes to see SUPERMAN in theatres. Total value is approximately $72.00 CAD.
- 1 x Kernels Virtual Gift Card ($50.00)
- 1 x SUPERMAN Movie Prize Pack ($200 Value).
4. CONDITIONS ATTACHED TO THE PRIZES
The prizes must be accepted as awarded and are not transferable or convertible to cash.
The Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to substitute alternate prizes of like kind and value for any and all elements of the prizing in this Contest, should any element become unavailable for any reason. Decisions by the Sponsor are final and binding regarding all aspects of this Contest.
The Run of Engagement passes will be distributed in the form of a promo code and are available for redemption online at https://www.cineplex.com (easy instructions here: https://www.cineplex.com/promos/promotions). Each promo code is for four tickets only. Offer valid for all performances of SUPERMAN, including but not limited to 3D, UltraAVX®, D-BOX, Prime Seats and VIP admission (legal drinking age only), up to $72.00. Any cost beyond $72.00 is the purchaser’s responsibility. If the cost of the ticket is less than $72.00, the balance will not be carried over to another transaction. SCENE® points are not issued on free admission tickets
5. DRAW
The draws shall be held on July 24th, 2025 at 1:00 pm, Eastern Standard Time, at the offices of Kernels Popcorn Limited, 341 Roselawn Avenue, Toronto, ON, Canada, M4R 1G2.
All potential winners will be contacted via email.
6. PRIZES CLAIM
In order to be declared a winner (the “Winner”) of one of the Prizes, the selected Contestant must fulfill the conditions for eligibility and participation and fill in a Contest release form* by completing all the compulsory fields. The Winner must reply to the Kernels Popcorn notification with their complete email address. All Run of Engagement movie passes will be sent in the form of a promo code that can be redeemed online at https://www.cineplex.com.
Winners must respond within 24 hours of receiving the notification to claim their prize.
*All Winners must sign a release form, releasing Kernels Popcorn Limited and Warner Bros. Entertainment Canada Inc. and their respective sponsors, affiliates, parents, subsidiaries, directors, officers, employees, agents and their respective advertising and promotional agencies, from any and all liability arising in connection with the Contest, including, without limitation, liability arising from the acceptance of the Prize is awarded and confirming compliance with Contest rules.
7. INDEMNITIES
(i) ALL CONTESTANTS HEREBY RELEASE, WAIVE, DISCHARGE AND COVENANT NOT TO SUE Kernels Popcorn Limited, Warner Bros. Entertainment Canada, Inc., or any of their respective employees, directors, officers, governors, shareholders, affiliates, representatives, parent companies, subsidiaries, professional advisors, and advertising and promotional agencies (collectively, the “Releasees”), FROM ANY AND ALL LIABILITY ARISING OUT OF, PURSUANT TO, OR AS A RESULT OF THE CARRYING OUT OF THE CONTEST, OR ANY PART OF THE CONTEST, INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, LIABILITY ARISING FROM THE ACCEPTANCE OF AND USAGE OF THE PRIZES AS AWARDED, THE ADMINISTRATION OF THE CONTEST AND THE SELECTION OF ANY POTENTIAL WINNERS, WITH THESE OFFICIAL RULES AND REGULATION;
(ii) ALL CONTESTANTS HEREBY AGREE TO INDEMNIFY AND SAVE AND HOLD HARMLESS the Releasees from any Claims and Proceedings directly or indirectly arising from, connected with or relating to the use or enjoyment of the prize. “Claims'' means any and all third party losses, damages, personal and bodily injuries, property damage, claims, counterclaims, complaints, disputes, demands, causes of action, liabilities, obligations, damages, reasonable legal fees, costs, expenses, and disbursements (including reasonable legal fees and disbursements as between solicitor and own client) of any nature or kind, whatsoever and howsoever arising, whether known or unknown, whether in law or in equity or pursuant to statute, and whether in any court of law or equity or before any arbitrator or other body, board or tribunal. “Proceedings'' means any and all third-party actions, suits, proceedings, and hearings of any nature and kind in any court of law or equity or before any arbitrator or other body, board or tribunal;
(iii) ALL CONTESTANTS HEREBY ASSUME FULL RESPONSIBILITY FOR ANY RISK OF BODILY INJURY, DEATH OR PROPERTY DAMAGE arising out of or related to the Prizes, whether caused by the NEGLIGENCE OF RELEASEES or otherwise; and
(iv) ALL CONTESTANTS HEREBY agrees that this indemnity extends to all acts of negligence by the Releasees, and is intended to be as broad and inclusive as is permitted by the laws of the Province/Territory in which the Contestants ordinarily reside is conducted and that if any portion thereof is held invalid, it is agreed that the balance shall, notwithstanding, continue in full force and effect
BY ENTERING THE CONTEST, ALL CONTESTANTS AGREE THAT THEY HAVE READ AND UNDERSTAND THAT THEY WILL (AMONG OTHER THINGS) WAIVE CERTAIN LEGAL RIGHTS, INCLUDING THEIR RIGHT TO SUE.
