Kernels Popcorn Fundraising Program Sports Team Contest Rules and Regulations
Kernels Popcorn Fundraising Social Contest (the “Contest”) is organized by Kernels Popcorn Limited (the “Organizer”). The Contest begins on Sunday, February 1, 2026 (the “Contest Opening Date”), and ends on Saturday, February 28, 2026 (the “Contest Closing Date”).
1. ELIGIBILITY
The Contest is open to all residents of Canada (excluding Quebec) who have reached the age of majority in their province or territory of residence by the Contest Opening Date, except for employees, agents, mandataries and representatives of the Organizer, its subsidiaries, affiliates, affiliated companies, advertising or promotion agencies, the suppliers of material, prizes and services related to this Contest, and any other stakeholder directly related to the holding of the Contest, as well as the members of their immediate family (father, mother, brothers, sisters, children and legal or de facto spouse) and anyone with whom these employees, representatives and agents reside.
2. HOW TO ENTER
No purchase necessary. Void where prohibited.
To enter the Contest, the contestant (the “Contestant”) must submit the
Contest form on kernelspopcorn.com before the Contest Closing Date, to automatically be entered for a chance to win a prize to support your fundraiser.
The Draw (defined below), shall be held on Tuesday March 3, 2026, at 12:00 pm, Eastern Standard Time
3. Prize
Winners will be selected from all eligible entries. The ARV for the Prizes is approximately $265.00 CAD and includes:
Gold - 100 Buttersalt Snack Bags – value approx. $150
Silver - 50 Buttersalt Snack Bags – value approx. $75
Bronze Party Bag of Buttersalt Popcorn – value approx. $40
4. CONDITIONS ATTACHED TO THE PRIZES
The prizes must be accepted as awarded and is not transferable or convertible to cash.
The prizes must be picked up at an arranged Kernels Retail Mall location
5. DRAW
The winners shall be selected on March 3, 2026, at 12:00 pm, Eastern Standard Time, at the offices of Kernels Popcorn Limited, 341 Roselawn Avenue, Toronto, ON, Canada, M4R 1G2.
The eligible winners will be contacted via email.
6. PRIZE CLAIM
The “Winners” of the prize must fulfill the conditions for eligibility and participation and fill in a contest release form* by completing all the compulsory fields.
Winners must respond within 24 hours of receiving the notification to claim their prize.
*The winners must sign a release form, releasing Kernels Popcorn Limited from any and all liability arising in connection with the Contest, including, without limitation, liability arising from the acceptance of the Prize is awarded and confirming compliance with Contest rules.
7. INDEMNITIES
(i) I HEREBY RELEASE, WAIVE, DISCHARGE AND COVENANT NOT TO SUE Kernels Popcorn Limited, and their respective employees, directors, officers, governors, shareholders, affiliates, representatives, parent companies, subsidiaries, professional advisors, and advertising and promotional agencies (collectively, the “Releasees”), FROM ANY AND ALL LIABILITY ARISING OUT OF, PURSUANT TO, OR AS A RESULT OF THE CARRYING OUT OF THE CONTEST, OR ANY PART OF THE CONTEST, INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, LIABILITY ARISING FROM THE ACCEPTANCE OF AND USAGE OF THE PRIZES AS AWARDED, THE ADMINISTRATION OF THE CONTEST AND THE SELECTION OF ANY POTENTIAL WINNERS, WITH THESE OFFICIAL RULES AND REGULATION, AND A CONSENT TO THE ANNOUNCEMENT OF MY NAME AND THE USE BY THE CONTEST OPERATOR OF MY NAME, ADDRESS, PHOTOGRAPH OR LIKENESS, VOICE OR STATEMENTS FOR ADVERTISING AND PROMOTIONAL PURPOSES WITHOUT ANY FURTHER COMPENSATION TO ME;
(ii) HEREBY AGREE TO INDEMNIFY AND SAVE AND HOLD HARMLESS the Releasees from any Claims and Proceedings directly or indirectly arising from, connected with or relating to the use or enjoyment of the prize. “Claims'' means any and all third party losses, damages, personal and bodily injuries, property damage, claims, counterclaims, complaints, disputes, demands, causes of action, liabilities, obligations, damages, reasonable legal fees, costs, expenses, and disbursements (including reasonable legal fees and disbursements as between solicitor and own client) of any nature or kind, whatsoever and howsoever arising, whether known or unknown, whether in law or in equity or pursuant to statute, and whether in any court of law or equity or before any arbitrator or other body, board or tribunal. “Proceedings'' means any and all third-party actions, suits, proceedings, and hearings of any nature and kind in any court of law or equity or before any arbitrator or other body, board or tribunal;
(iv) HEREBY agrees that this Release extends to all acts of negligence by the Releasees, and is intended to be as broad and inclusive as is permitted by the laws of the Province/Territory in which I ordinarily reside is conducted and that if any portion thereof is held invalid, it is agreed that the balance shall, notwithstanding, continue in full force and effect
I HAVE READ AND UNDERSTAND THAT BY ENTERING THIS CONTEST I WILL (AMONG OTHER THINGS) WAIVE CERTAIN LEGAL RIGHTS, INCLUDING MY RIGHT TO SUE.
