Popcorn Picnic Recipes
Picnics are a summertime staple. Whether you're bound for the beach, a park or an evening concert, we've got a couple of easy recipes that are perfect for dining al fresco.
Jumpin' Jack Mix
- 6 cups of Jalapeno Jack popcorn
- 2 cups corn chips
- 1 chopped green onion
Toss the popcorn, corn chips and green onion together, and mix until well-combined. Then pack, go and enjoy!
- 8 cups of Buttersalt popcorn
- 1 cup corn syrup
- ½ cup brown sugar
- 1 cup peanut butter
Combine corn syrup, brown sugar and peanut butter in a large saucepan. Bring to a boil over low heat, stirring constantly. Boil 2-3 minutes. Remove saucepan from heat. Combine with the popcorn in a large bowl and toss carefully with wooden spoons and mix until well coated. Spray a 9 x 13-inch basking dish with cooking spray and press the popcorn mixture into pan. Allow it to cool completely. Cut into squares and serve.
