PRAISE BE TO CORN!!!
Did you know that for hundreds of years, corn made up a significant part of the diet of the native people living in both North and South America? When the first Thanksgiving celebration was held in 1621, sweet potatoes, cranberry sauce and pumpkin pie were not on the menu; however corn was! (History Detective).
Corn back then was a simple staple food, whereas today Kernels has turned corn into one of Canada’s most awesome snacks enjoyed by our many corn loving customers!
PRAISE BE TO THE CUSTOMER!!!
John Remby of Stratus Hub, a salesforce training company, writes that, “We live in a service driven economy with a constant focus on the customer. We put the customer first and "The customer is always right". All these customer-centric notions can make us feel obligated to cater to them, and often put their needs before our own. We feel if we don't bend over backwards we will lose them. This can sometimes lead to resentment of our customers for one reason or another.” However, John Remby goes on to remind us that, “…no matter how busy we become, how big or fast our companies grow, how good our products or services may be, if we don't have customers we don't have a company… we need to be thankful that our customers chose us!”
Harvesting customers takes time, patience and care.
At Kernels I am personally thankful for so many things which have contributed to our products’ growth:
- The wonderful and talented people who make up our great organization
- Our great customers who are the reason why we have our jobs
- The great product that we produce and provide to our customers
- The many ‘learnings’ that come our way, daily
- The opportunities that allow us to delight our customers
